About BALA...

Founded in 2009, the Bengali American Liberal Arts (BALA) Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Its mission is to promote, celebrate, and preserve all mother languages, specifically focusing on Bengali. Every year, volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to the BALA School, which provides free Sunday classes and organizes innovative social and cultural events to instill the Bengali language and culture in children all around North America. Furthermore, BALA takes pride in presenting a diverse array of Bangla literature, art, and culture to the multicultural landscape of the United States.

BALA School is open to anyone interested in learning the Bengali language and culture and is offered free of charge.
